Three Stripes
The adidas Originals products have made sport history. The brand advanced to a being a cool label. For the Berlin flagship-store we developed an unusual series of adverts which visually underline this status. The advert “Berlin will…” is conceptionally linked to the first issue “Constant Change/Stetiger Wandel” of the berliner magazine which was also designed by us and in the mirror cover of which the reader can see himself: “as a mover and a shaker”. Just as in a futurism image, in the advert “revisit the original” the sports shoe is rising for the start. In this image it evolves from “Record” from 1960 up to “Micro Pacer” from 1984. The advert “Three leaves”, on the occasion of the third anniversary of the flagship-store, interprets the famous figurative mark of adidas Originals. Despite creative freedom, our design uses elements of corporate design of the adidas Originals: the corporate typeface as a deconstructed weave of lines appears in the corporate colour blue. Along with this we created a mixture of sketching, collage and line illustration.
